April-May

Running On Empty?

It seems like our lives parallel our gas tanks. When the gas light goes on reminding you your tank is low, do you continue to see how far you can go before stopping to refuel? Does the "E" on your gauge mean "just enough?" Most of us are running on "empty" in our lives. We're running on empty emotionally; we're running on empty financially; we're running on empty relationally; we're running on empty physically; and, we're running on empty spiritually. This series of sermons provides help for you in a busy, hectic lifestyle. We will talk about "Lightening Your Load," "Slowing Down," "Choosing What Matters," and "Stopping to Refuel." Are you running on empty? Then take time to see what the bible has to say to you about your life.

Sunday Evenings

David: A Man After God's Own Heart

David was a shepherd, a musician, a warrior, and a king. He is credited for writing many of the psalms we have in the Book of Psalm. He was also a liar, an adulterer, and a murderer. Even with all that, he is considered one of Israel's greatest kings and the Bible tells us he was a man after God's own heart. With the help of Charles Swindoll's book and the Word of God, we'll explore the many facets of this complex man - from David's teenage years and dysfunctional family life to his overwhelming passion for God. Swindoll writes, "David illustrates that God does not always choose the brilliant, the beautiful, or the successful to be His heroes, but more often, He chooses the nobodies and turns them into somebodies."
